Junior Software Test Engineer

Role Overview

When developing software, we go through various stages, ensuring that everything meets specifications from the initial requirements to product launch. That’s why we need a Software Test Engineer to help maintain our quality and reliability standards by testing our products (Web App, Android & iOS Mobile App, Website etc.) for issues and performance. As part of our team, you’ll assess software quality by designing and implementing testing processes, taking ownership of code quality through exploratory and automated tests. You’ll identify bugs, report them, and ensure they’re addressed. Achieving greatness requires hard work, but once you’re there, the view from the top is worth it.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional tests to ensure the integrity, security, and usability of web-based enterprise software solutions.
• Collaborate closely with team members, business analysts, support team, and the developers to deliver high-quality products efficiently.
• Develop, maintain, and execute thorough test plans and automated test cases for our hardware and software platforms based on requirements and technical specifications.
• Identify, isolate, and track bugs during testing phases.
• Ensure software requirements coverage through traceability.
• Strategize testing plans based on project scope and delivery timelines.
• Provide accurate estimates for testing efforts.
• Ability to code automated tests using one or more automation tools including Selenium or Appium etc.
• Document system defects clearly and accurately.

Qualifications

The candidate should have 0-1 year of experience in the following areas (freshers are encouraged to apply):

• Strong programming knowledge.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
• Break projects into attainable progress goals.
• Self-motivated, goal oriented and capable of working in a team environment.
• Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Software Testing.
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
