Software Test Engineer | Junior

When building software, you go through many stages. From initial requirements to product launch, it’s integral to ensure that everything works according to specification. That’s why we’re looking for a Software Test Engineer to help us maintain our level of quality and reliability. By joining our team, you will take part in our project, assessing software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes. You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and automated tests. You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they’re dealt with. There are no shortcuts in achieving greatness: It’s a lot of work. But once you’re at the top, you’ll enjoy the view.

# Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the other team members, business analysts, support team, and software developers to deliver high-quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Successfully perform some manual functional tests to verify web-based enterprise software solutions, data integrity, security, and overall usability.
  • Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and automated test cases against our hardware and software platforms based on an analysis of the requirements, user stories, use cases, and technical design specifications.
  • Ensure coverage of the software requirements through traceability.
  • Plan test strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.
  • Provide the best estimate of test efforts.
  • Successfully monitor and track system defect resolution efforts in a timely manner.
  • Be well versed with the development of automated testing using Subject-7 or Selenium tools.
  • Accurately and clearly document system defects.
  • Participate in the use of established test processes and methodologies.
  • # Requirements

    The candidate should have 6 months of experience (internships included) in the following areas but we also encourage fresher to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of Java & JavaScript.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting.
  • Well-organized and self-directed individual; ability to balance and prioritize competing requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working in a team environment.
  • Nice to have:

  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • # Qualifications

  • BSc. in CSE / ECE / EEE or any related discipline.
  • Additional certifications are a plus but not required.

    Junior Software Test Engineer (L1)

    # Salary

    BDT 22,000 to 28,000 per month
    (Salary will be calculated based on candidates prior knowledge, experience, and level of expertise.)
